San Andreas Trail North Shore Ca Hwy 111 Salton Sea Area
Hey. Hello everybody. This. Is the visitors, area right here and. They, have a vaulted, toilet, here. It's, called the San Andreas Trail. BLM. Land. Das. Palmas, salt cedar, control. And habitat, restoration. As. All. The. Organizations. That are involved. In. A. Restoration. Project. So. The trails over here. Follow. The yellow brick road, all. Of the yellow brick road. Yeah. I brought my binoculars they'll, be just in case there I. Got. Something to see here. All. Right. Little. Hike. Says. Watch out for rattlesnakes. Actually. It just said watch out for snakes, and. Had a picture of. A rattlesnake. So. I'm assuming that. That's. The most predominant. One, they let you look out, or. Well. I'm not sure what this is but. Perhaps. It's, good, luck. Perhaps. It's good luck to walk under. A tree. Branch like that. I'm. Not sure. You, tell me, what does that mean. Why. Is there. Why. Is that better. Well. I can think as it's good luck. That's, all I can think. If. I remember right they're supposed to be. Water, in these places. There's, quite a few footprints. Down the trail here. Looks. Like. Quite. A few people and. Coming out here. Boy. It must have been quite a chore. To. Line. Up all these rocks. Down, this trail. Hopefully. They didn't do it in the summertime. Hopefully. They did it during the winter months. Well. You have to. Cut. Me some slack because. I'm. Already huffing. And puffing. And. It's not because. I'm. Getting ready to blow the, little. Three, Little Pigs house, down. Looks. Like they might had a little fire here on the right. At. One point in time. I'm. Not sure why they couldn't just. Made. The parking, lot closer. Like. Right here at the end of these palm trees. And. I'm not sure why. They. Want to see. The parking, deal over there, see. It came all the way over there and then all the, way up here. What's. Up with that oh, that's. Right I'm exercising. It's. A hiking, trail. I. Forgot. It's a hiking trail, it's. About getting exercise. Well. Here we go where. I'm. Getting ready to. Walk. Into the palm trees. There's. A lull I guess a. Service. Road right here. I want, us to stay on the path I. Suppose. I. Thought. I heard a bird clicking I don't. Well. It said it was a restoration. Project. Yeah. I'm. Gonna say that. They. Got along a. Lot. More. Rushed. Restoration. We doing. Have. A lot more restoration. Together. How, would you like to have the job of. Placing. These rocks on the path. Hopefully. They had a little. Side-by-side. With the trailer on it to. Drive. The rocks down the trail. Well. So far no water. Icy. Alkali. Alkali. In the dirt. But. No water yet. Oh. Oh. Me. Oh my. We're. Starting, in two palm, trees oh me. Oh my what, did Dorothy say. Lions. And tigers and bears. Lions. And tigers and, bears, Oh, No. Wow. A. Little. Bit of shade in here. Hey. We got a little bridge over here. Gosh. What, is this all about. So, it looks like. They've. Cut, these palm, trees down. To. Make the trail. Is. The best I can figure, and. I'm. Just. Keep. An eye out for. The. Snakes like, it said. Not. That I'm. Fearful. Of rattlesnakes, I mean I. Just. Don't want to get bitten. This. Is a. Narrow. Little, trail. Look. At these boundaries. It's. Like a jungle. A lot, of people don't understand, the. Rattlesnake. Can't strike. Unless. It's coiled. You, have plenty, of time. Looks. Like. Marker. To tell how deep the water is. And. So much for that but. Anyway, you have. Red. Snake can't strike, unless it's coiled. You. Know this is the. San. Andreas Fault, Trail. And. I. Hope. There's not going to be a whole, lot of shaking going on.
The, Other night. Where. Was it, Oh. India. I was, at the Home Depot, and. We. Had a nice little tremor, about. 3:00, a.m. in the morning. Shook. My van pretty good pretty. Good job. Maybe. Maybe. A three-pointer. Three-point-something. Earthquake. You. Know it jolted my band. Well. I can see what's going on here is. They. Just want to get you. Out. In the Sun, and. Get. You to sweating. I mean, these. These. Palm trees are. Very. Old I. Mean. You can tell by. How. Many leaves are, folded. Down. Over. The trunk. So. These are some old palm trees they've been here for quite a while, and. I'm. Assuming, that's what's so special about this place. Would. Have been nice if there was some. Running. Water or. Something, you know, in. The stream. So. The trail turned, out on, to this. Dirt. Road that I'm walking down. And. I can. I. Can. Say for sure they, succeeded. At. Making. Me. Sweat. They. Got me huffing, and the puffing and. Got. Me sweat. And. I'm gonna take shortcut. You. Know this is probably where you'll see the rattlesnake, here on them on, the, shortcut over there, but. I'm not gonna go. 2530. Feet that way and. To. Get on the trail. Well. Doesn't look like I'm gonna get a rattlesnake. On on video. Yet. Anyway. You. Never know. So. The. State of California, has a. Work. In progress here. Hopefully. They'll add some attractions. To the. The San Andreas. Trail, as, they're calling it. But. Okay. We. Are back at the. Parking. Area and. They. Weren't kidding when they were saying it's a work in progress the, San, Andreas trail, I mean it. Was a nice little short hike you know. Be. A nice little walk after, lunch or. Breakfast. Or dinner, I. Uh. You. Know that's. Rancho. Las Palmas over, there. And. I'm not sure if I'm gonna walk down there. I. Think. I've. I. Think. I'm ready for a little. R&R. You. Know what that is right. Rest. And relaxation. Hey. That was a nice little hike. You. Know like I said it'd. Probably. Be good for, a. Little. Exercise, after. Breakfast, or lunch or dinner you. Know kind of help digest, the food. But. Other. Than that. I'm. Not sure. I'm. Not sure about that one there so work in progress. Kind. Of like living in a band you know, living. My van is like a work in progress daily. You. Always you find a better way to do something or. Find. Something that you need to build and add to it. That's. Life in a van. Well. I think. I'm gonna sign off right, now and. Thanks. For tuning into my channel and, don't. Forget. To subscribe. I'd. Be really nice and. Leave. A comment, or. Just. Hit. The like button that's pretty, simple. So. I'm. Gonna. Give. You a pan shot, here. Now. The. Coachella. Canal. Is over the arrogance. Those. Foothills, right there the Coachella. Canal, is. Right over there. It's. A nice little parking, area. Obviously. Have a vaulted, toilet, it. Was the first thing that they put in. That. Was nice they put the vaulted toilet, in first.
